Does anyone else have a family that argues about what to call pasta sauce? If I hear one more fight over whether it’s sauce or gravy I will tear my hair out! Anyone else? No? Okay, it’s just my weird relatives. Either way, call it whatever you want, this sauce is the bomb. I literally can not have pasta sauce in a restaurant, because, blech. I’m spoiled. This recipes makes a TON of sauce, seriously. We freeze portions for future meals. Your house will smell sooooo good while it’s cooking all day!
We serve our pasta sauce with zucchini noodles which are amazingly pasta like, and take even less time to cook. I use this handy Julienne peeler to make the noodles then pop them in the microwave in a covered dish for 4-5 minutes to steam. (Just beware if you are left handed, this is a right handed tool!
